Props are allowed as long as they follow the rules listed in the General Rules 8.5. 30 secs maximum are allowed for the skater to get on the floor and setup any necessary props in accordance with General Rules 8.5

Show Skating may be skated by two or more skaters as defined in Secton 6.1 General Categories on pg. 27

Show Skating may be skated in categories of two or more as defined in Secton 6.1 General Categories on pg. 27

Show Skating may be skated as a Family Competition as defined in Family Competition

Free Skating and Pairs Skating is allowed. However, skating will be assessed depending on the performance of the whole group.

Movements or steps performed in stationary positions are allowed. However, programs with excessive stationary movements will be given less credit. Choreography must commence within 10 seconds after the music has started.

The main performance of a show group must be "Show", not "Precision". If there are Precision elements, they must be performed in the character of a show.

Participants not on skates shall not be allowed.

There shall be no restrictions on the choice of music, but skating must be in tune with the music chosen.

All theatre decorations are not allowed; only accessories (props) directly in harmony with the program.

Fog machines and personal spotlights are not allowed.
Costume Rules For Show Skating
- In all show competitive roller skating events (including official training), the costumes for both women and men should be in character with the music, but should not be so as to cause embarrassment to the skaters, judges or spectators.
- Women costumes must be constructed so that they completely cover the tights (pants), hips and posterior.
- French-cut leotards are strictly prohibited, i.e., leotards which are cut higher than the hipbone.
CIPA Rules for Show Skating
- Results will conform to the CIPA System used from Freeskating, in particular:
A Mark - Content of Program: space filling rhythm speed technical difficulties B Mark - Artistic Impression: creativity harmony between movement and music costume in character with the program
