Use the best practices of Ice and Roller skating
-
Promote the sport in an atmosphere of good sportsmanship,
-
Holding events that are challenging and fun to skate and watch
-
Introduce some novelty,
-
Maintain a solid structure beneath.
-
Introduce no surprises to the skaters or the judges so that skaters, judges and coaches can know how performances will be rewarded.
-
Rely upon USARS rules because they have been amended to accommodate inlines already.
-
The coaches need to know the highlights in advance, to prepare their skaters properly.
Dance Judging
-
The judges will consider the following items:
-
Differences in age, strength, and equipment
-
Good, solid, attractive dancing in lieu of pattern size and costume design.
-
Good timing, edge quality, baseline adherence, close footwork, technique, posture and presentation.
-
Judges will judge the first skater first, then judge the second skater,
-
Skates will get a score between 50 and 100 for each dance
-
Use standard USARS rules for breaking ties.
