This is the first time this competition is being held with this format. There may be some last minute changes. In addition, we will make adjustments for future competitions and hope to set up a basis of rules for other competitions. Please feel free to make suggestions and comments to info@usfifs.org

All age requirements must be met on the day of the competition.

Rules and Scoring

The USARS/FIRS events are  based on standard USARS/FIRS rules where appropriate and use a 10 or 100 pt scoring system. We have included a summary of relevant rules in the General Rules section. 

General

Unless further specified below the following age categories will be used for all events. Age categories may be subdivided in the case of a large number of entries. See the General Rules below for more exceptions.

Tot 0 - 6

Pre-teen 7 - 12

Teen 13 - 19

Youth (Dance only) 19 and younger

Adult 20 - and older

Adult Subcategories

if necessary (Will only be used in cases where there are more than 3 adults in a particular event or at the discretion of the Competition Planning Committee):

Adult I 20 - 30

Adult II 31 - 40

Adult III 41 -  50

Adult IV 51 - 60

Adult V 61 and older
