Event Info

This competition, seminar and trade show, to be internationally sanctioned by USA Roller Sports, is the second time a U.S. competition is being held that will be strictly dedicated to inline free skating as well as other aspects of basic inline skating.  It is scheduled for April 23—25, 2010. This competition has attracted interest from skaters in several countries.

This is being held with the cooperation of USA Roller Sports, the U.S. Olympic representative for Roller Sports,  and USA Skate Center in Romeoville, IL.

There are events from USA Roller Sports as well as selected events from U.S. Figure Skating and Ice Skating Institute along with new unique events designed by  U.S. Inline Figure Skating. There will be additional events in Slalom/Freestyle based on World Slalom Skating Association (WSSA) rules. This sport is relatively new to the U.S. and provides an excellent demonstration of and development tool for skating footwork.

The focus of the competition is to encourage high level skaters as well as beginning skaters. Some events do not require a program to be developed ahead of time. Some non-figure skating events can be entered on the day of the competition without a late fee.

Scheduling

Because this is the second time the competition is being held there may be some minor adjustments and clarifications to rules and the schedule that should not impact any programs being worked on.  Because of last-minute and on-site registrations the schedule to the right is only tentative and the best we can provide at this time.

Watch the U.S. Open Inline Chicago 2010 website  for any recent changes, updates and schedule adjustments. The following schedule represents the minimum and maximum schedule as of the end of March.

Seminar, Tradeshow, Sponsors and Volunteers

A Seminar is being held in conjunction with the event with discussion on various topics of interest to inline skaters and coaches. Seminar sessions might not be held during competition events to encourage viewing.  Bring your skates.

Vendors need to contact the rink directly. See the Forms page for details.

We are looking for sponsors for U.S. Inline Figure Skating, which includes the U.S. Open Inline Chicago 2010. See the Forms page for details.

We are also looking for volunteers. See the Forms page for details.
